April Fool’s Day is upon us – the one time in the year where everyone fancies themselves as a comedian.
Even Premier League clubs like to get in on the act but not all of them execute it well.
Fulham’s April Fool’s post on their Twitter account received all sorts of criticism from Cottagers supporters after claiming that they would become the first club in Premier League history to adopt double digits on the back of every shirt.
It wasn’t the quality of the joke that irked the Fulham fans, it was more due to the club making a joke in what has been a poor season for them back in the top flight.
Fulham are 19th in the table with just 17 points following their 2-0 defeat at Manchester City last weekend and could join Huddersfield in the Championship by next weekend.
