Mauricio Pochettino claims it is ‘not fair’ that Ajax will get an extended break ahead of their Champions League semi-final clash.
Tottenham Hotspur play at home to West Ham in the Premier League on Saturday before the first leg of their last-four tie against the Dutch team.
They will play Ajax at their new Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Tuesday before the return leg in Amsterdam the following Wednesday.
Ajax have been given a slight advantage, though, as the Dutch football authorities have postponed this weekend’s Eredivisie fixtures to give them more time to prepare for the first leg.
All games were cancelled to avoid their opponenets, De Graafschap, from playing at the end of the season once other games have taken place, potentially compromising the competition.
Pochettino does not feel the postponement is fair on his team.
