Saturday’s 1-0 defeat to Championship leaders Norwich was a fifth loss fourth successive loss for Boro, who have not won since beating QPR at the end of February.
Meanwhile, Bristol City are coming off the back of an impressive 3-2 win over Sheffield United and are currently a place above Boro in seventh on goal difference.
